- Download the .pem file which will have the public and private keys etc(which we can get while signing up the remote instance).
- Create a directoy .ssh in the root folder
- Copy it to that directory and change the .pem file’s permission to 400 and 700 for the folder that contains the .pem file
- Create a config file and type the following details in the file
Host <some_name_to_identify>
HostName <hosturl>
User <username>
IdentityFile “<File_location_from_root_folder>”
- Now save the file.
- You can ssh into the remote server by
ssh <some_name_to_identify_that_was_mentioned_in_the_config_file>
